Symbiommunity Lab

Welcome to the Symbiommunity Lab webpage!

We are a research group in the Biology Department at Texas State University. We study questions at the intersection of symbiosis biology & ecological/evolutionary immunology. We are interested in the causes and consequences of variation in immunity, and the roles that symbionts (mutualists and parasites) play in shaping this variation.  We investigate these interactions using a variety of molecular and genomic techniques. Our work focuses primarily on marine species, including vulnerable cnidarians and teleost fish.

On this website you can find more information about who we are, what we do, and opportunities to join us!
